On April 17th, 2024, UHBP was pleased to be part of an important panel discussion at the California Water Safety Summit hosted by the California Water Safety Coalition in Fontana, Ca.
The panel discussion centered around the dangers of prolonged underwater breath-holding and how aquatics professionals can safeguard their facilities against underwater blackouts. Differing points of view were discussed around what activities should and shouldn’t be allowed in and around pools.
Moderated by Dr. Will Koon, participants included medical experts Dr. Justin Sempsprott, Don Tran from Deep End Fitness, Morgan Hoesterey, and Britt Jackson.
